Project Overview
The City of Colonial Heights landfill facilities ceased accepting municipal solid waste in 1976. Since that time, the City has identified various portions of the closed landfill for redevelopment. Bennett & Williams, Inc. completed a Voluntary Remediation Project for the City, which included site characterization, quantitative risk assessment, statistical analysis of data, design of a waste consolidation pile, groundwater and methane gas monitoring and plan design, construction oversight of all project phases and regulatory compliance reporting.
