Project Overview
As part of the property transfer process, a private homeowner in Henrico County was required to characterize stained soils in the crawlspace of the residence. Analytical results indicated petroleum hydrocarbon contamination from an old heating oil tank in excess of 10,000 ppm TPH-DRO. Bennett & Williams, Inc. developed a plan to vent dangerous vapors, excavate contaminated soils from the crawlspace, backfill excavated areas with clean fill, install a vapor barrier, and provided regulatory compliance assistance throughout the project.
